Kazuma has recently been honored by the Japan Employment Support Organization for the Elderly, Persons with Disabilities, and Job Seekers (JEED) in recognition of its long-standing efforts to promote the employment of people with disabilities and improve the workplace environment.

This award recognizes the company’s comprehensive efforts, which include not only fostering a supportive internal environment but also disseminating information externally and collaborating with the local community.

The Efforts Leading Up to the Award

Last year, following interactions with disability employment coordinators and facility staff, we presented our company’s case study at a corporate information session. This presentation caught the attention of JEED, leading to an interview this year and the inclusion of our case study in their reference service as an example of corporate initiatives—which ultimately resulted in our nomination for the award.

Furthermore, the efforts of our “Decent Work Promotion Committee,” which is expanding its activities within the company, were also highly praised.

Kazuma’s Ongoing Efforts

For over 20 years, Kazuma has been committed to the employment of people with disabilities.

・Presentations of case studies at company information sessions hosted by Hello Work
・Internal improvement initiatives
・Facility tours (approx. 8 sessions, 40 participants)
・“Workplace experience and observation sessions” designed to expand employment opportunities for people with disabilities (approx. 6 sessions, 60 participants)

In addition, the company has been recognized for initiatives that foster a sense of security and boost motivation in the workplace, such as Japanese language study groups and internal events.

Future Outlook

Inspired by this award, Kazuma will continue to pursue initiatives such as obtaining Monisu certification and assigning in-house job coaches, while strengthening efforts to further promote understanding of employment for people with disabilities both within and outside the company.

Kazuma remains committed to working alongside the local community to create a workplace where all employees can find fulfillment in their work.
