Leveraging Aluminum’s Performance to Bring Innovative Comfort to Everyday Life

eco-fineⓇ

Innovative Products Born from Complex Weaving and Processing Techniques Inspired by Zero-Energy Concepts

Development of eco-fine® began approximately 15 years ago as part of a zero-energy strategy. Focusing on the functionality of aluminum-coated films used in food packaging, we established a unique technology. This involved slitting the film, warping it without twisting, and simultaneously weaving threads with different properties. This innovation led to the creation of a multifunctional curtain that achieves both heat shielding and insulation effects alongside excellent transparency and air permeability. Today, it is also supported for energy-saving measures and disaster prevention applications. As abnormal weather becomes the norm, it has evolved into a material that supports people’s peace of mind.

Kazuma’s Proprietary Technology for Spinning Aluminum-Coated Film into Yarn and Simultaneously Knitting Different Materials with Precision

The ability to use aluminum-coated film as yarn relies on advanced technology: slitting 12-14 micron thick aluminum-coated film into 0.3mm strands while simultaneously warping them without twist and maintaining constant yarn tension. Furthermore, Kazuma’s proprietary technology precisely weaves these two distinct yarns—using the slit aluminum yarn as warp and polyester yarn as weft—combining materials with differing shapes and properties.

The Overwhelming Functionality Inherent to Aluminum, Combined With the Soft Texture and Breathability of Fibers

The mirror-like effect achieved through aluminum-coated film provides high heat-shielding performance, reflecting over 80% of both ultraviolet and infrared rays. Furthermore, its tightly woven structure blocks outside air, delivering excellent insulation. At the same time, it balances translucency, comfortable breathability, and easy washability. This maximizes the unique properties of both aluminum and fiber.

Combining Diverse Expressions and Processing Techniques of Knitting Machines to Create New Products

Kazuma possesses a diverse range of weaving machines, enabling a wide variety of pattern expressions by changing machinery and weave structures. Furthermore, it combines processing techniques such as printing, embroidery, wrinkle finishing, and functional additions with high-level sewing capabilities. Transcending the boundaries of curtains, it continuously creates functional products that excel in various fields.
