The Beauty of Three-Dimensional Threads and Embroidery Culture
Embroidery is the art of breathing life into fabric through thread. As individual threads overlap, the once-flat fabric gains depth, creating different expressions and shadows depending on the angle of light. However, in Japan, it has long been perceived as merely “inexpensive decoration.” While it has taken root as a cultural practice in China and Europe, its artistic merit and technical value have not been sufficiently appreciated in Japan. We wish to bring the expressive culture of embroidery back to life within our daily lives.

Meticulous Design Defines the Expression
Kazuma embroidery creates a unique expression that conveys depth and movement by layering multicolored threads and multiple motifs. While typical embroidered curtains repeat the same pattern, we meticulously design even the movement and overlapping of the threads. We minimize thread waste while drawing out rich expression. It is precisely this accumulation of calculation and ingenuity, extending even to unseen areas, that elevates the embroidery's perfection and quietly underpins Kazuma quality.

Where Hands and Machines Resonate
At our Fuyang Factory, we've introduced state-of-the-art equipment capable of up to 9-color embroidery, enabling swift mass production of complex and delicate designs. Relying not only on advanced machinery, discerning thread tension, density, and finish requires the intuition and experience cultivated over years on the production floor. Only when the precision of machines resonates with the senses of the human eye and hand can intricate, deeply dimensional embroidery be achieved. This symphony of hand and machine is the very essence of Kazuma's embroidery craftsmanship.

Embracing Tradition, Embracing the Future of Embroidery
Through our collaborative brand with embroidery artist Tomoko Taka, we continue the challenge of recreating the warmth and dimensionality unique to hand embroidery using machine embroidery. Additionally, with the Fuyang-based brand “FUJU,” we present the “Texture Series,” which expresses jacquard weaving through embroidery. Where thread, design, and embroidery intersect, simple fabric is transformed into something entirely new. This very chemical reaction is the future of embroidery envisioned by Kazuma. Embroidery is not mere decoration, but a technique that weaves culture. We will continue to paint beauty with thread.
